Liverpool closing in on €20m rated Brazilian sensation dubbed ‘the next Neymar’

Liverpool inching close to signing Talles Magno

According to a report from Yahoo Esportes (h/t AS English), Premier League champions Liverpool are closing in on the signing of Brazilian sensation Talles Magno from Vasco da Gama.

The 18-year-old Magno is heralded as one of the best young prospects coming through in Brazil. A product of the Vasco da Gama youth academy, he made his first-team debut in June last year. Till date, he has featured 17 times for the senior side, scoring two goals and setting up one more.

Magno has also impressed for the Brazil U17 national side, scoring three goals in six matches, two of which came in the U17 FIFA World Cup. Able to play anywhere across the front three, he has prominently been used on the left flank.

The Brazilian, who has been likened to the world’s most expensive football, Neymar, has been on the radars of Liverpool since last year. Along with us, the likes of Real Madrid, Barcelona, AC Milan, Chelsea and PSG are also monitoring Magno. (h/t AS English)

However, the teenage sensation prefers a move to Liverpool as he is keen on working with our manager Jurgen Klopp. And as per the report, the club could be closing on landing his signing, with super-agent Giuliano Bertolucci brokering negotiations.

Magno signed a new contract with Vasco da Gama last year, extending his stay till December 2022. The teenager has a release clause of €48m. However the Brazilian club have been with financial problems because of the pandemic, due to which they will accept an offer of around €20m for their prized asset. (h/t AS English)
