Liverpool’s stance on Harry Wilson future revealed

As reported by the Liverpool Echo, Premier League champions Liverpool will not entertain any loan offers for academy product Harry Wilson this summer, but will only consider offers of a permanent transfer.

The 23-year-old Wilson has been regarded as one of the most talented youngsters to have come through our academy. However, given the attacking riches at the club, he has been constantly farmed out on loan season after season.

Wilson, till date, has had temporary stints away at Crewe Alexandra, Hull City, Derby County and Bournemouth. He has only made just the one first-team appearance for his parent club.

Back after a decent campaign away on loan with the relegated Bournemouth side, Wilson is keen on regular first-team football, something that is not guaranteed at Anfield currently. (h/t Mirror)

Given that our transfer budget has been restricted due to the coronavirus pandemic, it is understandable that the club is taking the stance of not loaning out fringe players, but instead looking for permanent buyers.
