Liverpool starlet Conor Bradley moved to League One side Bolton Wanderers on loan earlier this summer transfer window.
Bradley first played for Liverpool’s first team in the 2021 Carabao Cup. He also played a Champions League fixture last season against AC Milan. He has had a good start to his loan spell already.
In five appearances for the Wanderers, Bradley already has a goal and two assists from right-back. He spoke to Manchester Evening News
(h/t Liverpool Echo), citing a ‘free-flowing’ and ‘attacking’ style of play as the reasons for his move.“We played a similar way to the one at Liverpool. Quite attacking, free-flowing, playing the ball out from the back, so I have enjoyed it so far. It was one of the main reasons I came here. Liverpool wanted me to play somewhere similar to them, helping my development, so that’s why I picked Bolton, really.”
Bradley creating chances from the position he plays in is a positive for Liverpool. The Reds tend to create most of their chances from fullbacks, mainly Trent Alexander Arnold, who obviously operates from behind on the right flank. Speaking about Liverpool’s number 66, he had to say the following.
“Obviously when I am at Liverpool I watch Trent’s (Alexander-Arnold) game and try to put them into mine but I am my own player and I want to carry on working hard.”
With Bradley guaranteed game time at Bolton Wanderers, it is proving to be a good move for the right-back at present. A similar role to what a Liverpool full-back is likely to play is a greater plus point for both player and parent club.
It would do a world of good for Liverpool’s number 84, to develop under Ian Evatt at Bolton. His transition to Liverpool’s first team will also get easier when he returns to the squad, but with Trent at the helm, his appearances might only be limited to cup ties.
