A look at the Liverpool squad available to Jurgen Klopp for Napoli clash

Liverpool will play host to Napoli for their final Champions League group-stage fixture later today (1 November). We will look at the squad available to Jurgen Klopp for the game.

Ibrahima Konate is in contention to start the game. The centre-back picked up a muscle injury during the Reds 7-1 thrashing of Rangers earlier this month and has not featured for the club since.

However, Joel Matip will not be available for selection as he is still recovering from a calf injury he picked up during our 3-2 loss against Arsenal earlier this month.

Youngster Stefan Bajcetic, who is the club’s youngest Champions League debutant is likely to make the bench as neither of Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will be available for the tie after being left out of the squad for the group stage matches.

Wingers Luis Diaz and Diogo Jota will also not be available as both the plyers are still recovering from their injuries. The duo are now likely to play for the club after the World Cup which ends next month.

Thiago is more than likely to start in the middle of the park with Fabinho and Jordan Henderson. Mohamed Salah could lead the line with Darwin Nunez against the Italian opponents later today.

Jurgen Klopp will hope for win after his side were embarrassed 4-1 in the reverse fixture. The Reds will need to beat Napoli by four or more goals to top their group and increase their chances for a easier draw in the Round of 16.
