There’s no denying: Mohamed Salah has been one of the most complete forwards this season.

He is still nowhere near close to sorting out his contract situation with his current employers, however, and his agent has now added another angle to the mix.

Agent of Mohamed Salah drops interesting Arne Slot comment amid Liverpool contract standoff

Ahead of Liverpool’s upcoming Premier League game against Wolves, their star forward Mohamed Salah’s agent, Ramy Abbas Issa, made an interesting comment on social media regarding the Reds boss, Arne Slot.

Leading Liverpool’s charge in the Premier League as well as the Champions League, the Egypt international is having arguably his best-ever season, currently sitting at 27 goals and 19 assists in 35 appearances across all competitions.

Currently topping both the assists and goals charts in the league, Salah is now also in the top 10 all-time rankings for both assists and goals in the Premier League.

Apart from a move to the Saudi Pro League, with Al-Hilal currently linked with him most prominently, Salah is also being eyed up by LaLiga giants Real Madrid and Barcelona.

TKT Opinion

We can look at Ramy Abbas Issa’s comment here two ways: either we do not think much of it and get past it, or we read too much into it, which is the preferred norm.

There’s one thing for sure, however: if Slot was in any shape or form at odds with Salah, we would at best have heard nothing. If Salah’s agent is coming out with positive words for his head coach at all, it means whatever is stalling his contract extension has very little to do with relationship with Slot.

As we have addressed before, it is most likely that the contract standoff comes down to different between the length of contract and the raise in salary Salah believes he deserves. Liverpool have little room if they’re to stick to their prudent ways, all the while knowing full well that their very best offer would still be dwarfed by any offer from Saudi Arabia.

We know this, if Salah does leave in the summer, it won’t be because things weren’t working out between him and Slot.
