“A bit of both”: Liverpool ace opens up about his crossing technique after West Ham win

Trent Alexander-Arnold opens up about his technique after West Ham win

Liverpool’s 3-2 win against West Ham United was quite a treat to watch. The Reds decimated the Londoners in their usual style but kudos to them for really testing us.

The win re-established our 22-point lead, with Manchester City having 57 points. All the players did their part but Trent Alexander-Arnold truly stood out. He provided 2 assists during the game and speaking to Sky Sports (h/t Liverpool.com

), the player opened up about his crossing technique.

When asked if he prefers supplying the ball to certain players or just looks for dangerous areas, the youngster explained:

“A bit of both. I think sometimes when you get the ball and you’re thinking about crossing it then you have to look in and see if anyone’s in the box and see where the runs are going to be made, and then it’s about hitting areas really.”

Having provided 12 assists in 27 games this season, Trent went on to say,

“I tried to put balls into the box and when you’re getting space out wide and you’ve got a little bit of time it’s always good to get the ball out of your feet and try to cross it, but I’m doing whatever I can to help the team and that’s how we all think.”

The 21-year-old then praised the atmosphere at Anfield, particularly lauding the fans for cheering the players even when Pablo Fornals’ goal put West Ham ahead (h/t Liverpool.com

Our support is always there for the team and Trent truly put up a splendid display in what was a crucial match for Liverpool. He has already matched his last season’s tally of 12 assists, which is truly remarkable from the Englishman.

More success awaits him and our team hopefully and there doesn’t seem to be a team in England that is capable of defeating us right now.
