“He will eat him alive”- Patrice Evra sends blunt Sadio Mane message to Liverpool superstar

Patrice Evra believes Sadio Mane is miles quicker than Mohamed Salah in a sprint race

Liverpool’s dominance over the past few years was partly due to the superb runs of Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane made from the wings, giving the opposition fullbacks a tough game throughout the ninety minutes.

Most of the prowess was due to the magnifying speed possessed by the AFCON stars with quick lighting acceleration to move past the opponents.

Many Liverpool fans are now of the opinion that Salah and Mane would be rather equal when it comes to pace, considering the quick feet shown by foot in the past years.

However, according to former Manchester United player Patrice Evra, via speaking to his Youtube channel (h/t Liverpool Echo), believes Mane would eat Salah alive in a sprint race and is miles quicker than the Egyptian.

“Mane is faster than Salah. He will beat him [in a race]. He will eat him alive”

Mohamed Salah is up against former Liverpool star Sadio Mane for the African Player of the Year award.

Evra could be correct in his assessment as though Salah is considerably quick, the now FC Bayern Munich forward did seem to have a notch in his speed over his former teammate.

Together they formed one of the most lethal duos of the Premier League and judging by Liverpool’s start of the season, the departure of Sadio Mane has been a bigger miss than expected.

The Senegalese provided big goals at crucial moments for the team and his apparent replacement Darwin Nunez is nowhere close to the impact that Mane created for the team yet.

Mane, on the other hand, has settled in nicely in his new surroundings and has already notched 10 goal contributions (nine goals and one assist) in 18 appearances for FC Bayern Munich.

Many claims that Mane felt that he could not be the undisputed star of the team at Liverpool along with Salah’s importance to the team proved to be one of the major reasons behind his departure.

Surely, Jurgen Klopp and staff could have done some more to persuade the Senegalese to stay and build on the dynasty which has now been falling apart since the departure of one of the generals.
